The basics

Guide overview:

  • What can viewers expect to see in your guide?

  • How well do you know the location?

  • Is there anything that sets your guide or perspective apart from others?

Guide tags:

  • Add tags to your guide

    • Tags allow users find your guide and determine its vibe

  • Some example tags: “romantic”, “budget”, “pet-friendly”, “luxury”, “hidden gems”

Guide photos:

  • These are the photos featured at the top of your guide (different from photos listed under each recommendation in your guide)

  • Add multiple guide photos that provide a preview what is in your guide

  • Add a header photo that encapsulates your guide

Recommendations

Hotels:

Hotel recommendations should include:

  • Notes

    • What is the best room at this hotel?

    • What hotel services are the best (e.g., spa, bar, restaurant, etc)?

    • Who are the best employees at the hotel (e.g., which concierge, who at the spa, etc)?

    • What is within walking distance?

    • What is a good running/walking path nearby?

    • What is easiest public transit nearby

    • Wbest way to/fron airport? How far is the ride? How much $?

  • Photos

    • Add photos that relate to your notes and show what you liked about the hotel

  • Tags

    • Add tags that encapsulate the vibe of your recommendation

    • “Scenic”, “Nature”, “Pet-Friendly”, “Historic”

Restaurants:

Restaurant recommendations should include:

  • Notes

    • What is the best table or area to sit?

    • What are the best dishes?

    • Whats the best way to make a reservation?

    • Is there a place that someone should go to after?

    • Is there an amazing server?

  • Photos

    • Add photos that relate to your notes and show what you liked about the restaurant

  • Tags

    • Add tags that encapsulate the vibe of your recommendation

    • “Lively”, “Hole in the wall”, “Experiential”

Activities:

Activity recommendations should include:

  • Notes

    • Was there anything especially cool or interesting?

    • Are there any tips or information that you wish you knew before going?

    • Are there any packages that are a must?

    • Is there a guide that someone should request?

    • Are there any places someone should sit?

    • Do you have booking tips?
